The course is taught with the Callan Method, which means a lot of speaking and listening practice. Each lesson contains about 45minutes of speaking (question-answer work), a 10-minute period of reading and a 5-minute dictation. There is no silence in the lesson; students listen to English all the time. There is a lot of revision and some new work in each session. The teacher answers the questions along with the student and corrects their mistakes. The teacher speaks quickly so that students learn to understand English when it is spoken at a natural speed.
